News Report - B-Roll
Today for Adam's lesson, to finish off our practice news report that Dave has asked us, we had to create a B-Roll. B-Roll is basically a broadcast TV as supplemental footage inserted as a cutaway to help tell the story and includes the shots that are shown to introduce a segment and/or in between the live or taped interviews.
We were set into groups and got given the script that Dave created and we all had to go outside around Mount Pleasant campus and film some short still videos of the buildings around the campus to help tell the story of where the incident happen.
We took some shots of the Mount Pleasant Campus sign, Mount Pleasant halls, the little hill where the incident happened and also the water fountain inside the campus.
This lesson was helpful because we didn't really know what to do or wasn't too sure what B-Roll is so from this we all know what to do for when we create our news report.
