Practice with Green Screen 1

Practice with Green Screen

Today in Dave's lesson, we had a practice using the green screen. He showed us a short film made by past students that used a green screen to create a man sitting down his table in a lighthouse. Our task for today's lesson was to recreate that short film. The video underneath shows the video we had to recreate by the end of the lesson.

While setting the green screen, lights, camera etc, I thought that I would time-lapse while we all set up the equipment. Miriam was the actress for this short recreation of the film, my job was on camera and the boys jobs was to be in charge of setting up with lights and also the sound.

I really enjoyed this lesson because I have never used green screen before and it's the one thing I've always wanted to do and learn from as it is used a lot in today's programmes and films so it was really exciting to learn and listen from. This was helpful as well because our next short 1 minute film is a news report and we would need to use a green screen for it so from watching and learning from today's lesson will help me and my group to create the news report.
